Psychotherapist in training under supervision

My name is Tatjana Hepperger and I am a psychotherapist under supervision, which means that my psychotherapeutic work is closely supported and guided by experienced supervising therapists (Source: ÖBVP)

What is psychotherapy to me?

Life is sometimes not as we would wish it to be. It presents us with challenges, and sometimes we no longer know the way forward. The usual strategies no longer work or are perceived as burdensome.

For me, psychotherapy means looking at the respective challenge together with the individual and collaboratively working out a targeted and tailored solution.

In this, I follow the approach of Systemic Psychotherapy. For me, this means that I dedicate myself with the clients to their strengths and competencies and together embark on the journey of how to utilize these for the future.

On this journey, I also focus on the environment in which the individual person is situated, and together we look at which relationships are important and what influence they have on the person.

One could imagine psychotherapy as a mobile, where many small moving parts come together to form a whole and influence each other. This means that changing even a small part can have an impact on the bigger picture.
